The National Angel Capital Organization, in conjunction with Newmarkets Partners Ltd., organizes and holds international cross-border co-investment summits to help Canadian companies expand internationally, as well as assist foreign companies to establish offices in Canada. Company Application Companies can apply to our events directly though our Angelsoft portal by clicking here or on the button at right. Company Screening All presenting companies will have demonstrated that they have: A solid management team and board of advisors; A product or service for which there is a demonstrated international market; At least one round of angel financing completed and a need for additional funds; A commitment to hire local talent in order to establish a sales and marketing base in the target country; and A successful go-to-market plan customized to the target country. Once selected, the companies will be coached and prepared by industry experts on presentation and process for the Summit through a Presentations Bootcamp. Follow-up Our investment summits are actually a three-day process. The first day consists of the Summit, where presenting companies have 9 minutes to pitch to a group of business angel investors, funding partners, and industry stakeholders in a day-long event. All presenting companies will be introduced by their Angel Champion – a funder who has invested in a previous round of financing and who will give a personal referral and an introduction. The following two days are specially organized for one-on-one meetings between the entrepreneurs and their potential investors, so they may begin forging relationships and creating deals.
